Antique Horse

This antique horse belonged to my great-aunt, like the Venus de Milo pictured recently. Little physical remembrances of her are scattered throughout our home.

Imaginary Landscape I

Posted by Picasa
This photograph was taken in a movie theatre prior to the film and previews being projected. It is a close-up of my left index finger against the backdrop of the blank screen.

Last week, Mary created this lovely altar on our woodstove. The plaster Venus de Milo statue belonged to my great-aunt and uncle, well-known painters who used it in many of their paintings and drawings throughout the 20th century. This way, at least, the Buddha is in very illustrious company.

This t-shirt was worn by a friend who we ran into in a cafe the other day. It was crying out for a photo to be taken.

These creatures perch on the window sill above my desk so that astute and observant passersby might spy them through the glass.

Nightstand Quiz

Based on a recommendation from my wife, Mary, I am hereby posting photos of her nightstand and mine. The challenge is for the Reader (that's you, by the way) to identify which is hers and which is mine. Please use the "comments" option below to do so, or email me. Good luck! (Please note, these photos are not retouched in any way, no matter what Mary says!)
